distraction almost did me in....again

Sometimes it's the distraction that almost gets me! If following Elanores antics aren't stressful enough while trying to calmly mine in hi sec then it is UoC corp chat, particularly when Matto and Amianne are creating a bit of entertainment value to the channel!

House warming and Pie!

So last Summer Elanore and I found a planet to vacation on. We had hit a sort of equatorial region for that. But we explored more while we were there. What a great planet. We loved it so much that when it became affordable we bought a plot of land in a sub arctic region of the planet. Boreal type forests, mountains, yeah :) and had a cabin custom built for a getaway! yay! We have been decorating and furnishing for a couple months as we get time. So this morning I was chatting with a few friends and asked if they'd be interested in coming over and checking the place out, having pie, wine, beer, and some of the freshest water you'd find in New Eden. Mostly it was about the pie ;)
Thanks Khana Issier, Chris Goh, and Rothar Luke, and IMcZerg Apol for coming to hang with us for a while on this Christmas day and to check out the new pad!I'm not really sure what out little Rasta man friend McZerg was doing upstairs in the bedroom but there was a funny smokey smell about him when he came back downstairs ;)

I just saw Elanore off as she jump cloned to Null. She has this giddy childlike wide eyed excitement to her and I hope it doesn't interfere with the seriousness of it all. It can be a dangerous place out there, (So I hear). she's doing something I have never done and really could not provide any substantial advice. I think all will be ok. And we parted on an up note. The bickering we had while all the preparatory stuff was going on was just stress. Making up is good. Moving fwd is good. Keeping contact is no big deal in New Eden. And she will be back. But I do feel a little blue.

Elanores New Nightwing Drake. Update #1

Chris Goh is moving Elanore's drake to a system in hi sec that I can go ahead and get it fitted up and to her for a run to Null. Elanore is of course wardecked so this should work better and safer this way until it's time for the final run. Since no one want s to shoot me...right? Well, at least not some random pilot with a war vendetta ;)

Side note: what a high maintenance one she is lol. Ok, she's still asleep. ssshhh

Continuing on. I picked up the ship In Avele and am moving it to Jita where I am pretty sure we can find all the fits required. Or at least versions of them that she can currently utilize while other more advanced training continues.

I think it was our 3rd acceleration gate that when we started jumping into our final area things took a turn. The gate would not let our Logi ships through and so those of us that did warp through started getting shot up pretty bad. The sounds of agony and desperation were almost too much for my ears all the while firing as fast as I could at anything red. Watching my own shields deplete rapidly as my friends and fleet members were becoming ripped apart themselves. There was pleading, and screaming from both ends of the gate. Some valiantly taking the shots to their ships yelling out for help all the while continuing to fire upon their attackers. Others, stuck in their Logi's on the entry side of the gate were trying again and again to warp through to help their fleet members in dire straits. Through the comm I could hear the determined curses, the heartfelt "sorry I can't get there". The explosions. from my helm I could barely see through the barrage of ammo to even get close enough to do anything but fire blindly into space. With my own shields near their demise I was no longer going to be any help to those in need and was going to die myself in very short order. I locked on the 1st thing, anything, that I could find in space and fled to an asteroid belt. The blinding explosions and destruction fading from view. Left with only the sounds of pleas and hopeless determination in my comm as others either Lost ships, or escaped themselves.

After, in the hangar looking at my Caracal and reflecting on what I did right, what I did wrong, and what I learned from this incursion event. I truly look fwd to further adventures with this awesome group of pilots as we hone our skills as both individual pilots and as a group.

And yes of course this is fitting footwear for battle!!!!!!

A little while later, Most pilots had left fleet, shipless and /or damaged. I heard the anxious adrenalin rushed talk from Chris Goh in the comm, seeking others to warp to him to head back in for another go at them. I was already in station. there were a few assembled it sounded like and they were going to do this again. It felt like a bad idea to me. It held all the makings of an emotionally charged suicide run. the spastic sounds of a haphazard assembly of not near enough ships with firepower. barks to "lets go, lets go!" Finally I undocked my Caracal once again and made my way as quick as I could to the scene, knowing full well this was a fools errand and that I would become another statistic. They were too hurried, I did not make it back in time. It would have made no difference. Again the sounds of death and destruction in my comm as I fell one gate short of having my own ship exploded as well. I did hear Elfi pleading for help. And heard that Dom and a couple others were finally able to free here to safety all the while losing their own ships in doing so.

We have become stronger as we reflect on this and I look fwd to it all again. I am looking fwd to further honing my wartime correspondence skills. It's some fast action stuff to gather info, shoot stuff, take pics, and just stay alive all at the same time. I like this challenge.

So I applied to a player corp with the following application and they stil took me ! :)

I want to join your corp because I want to shoot stuff. I am better at dying than killing right now but I am not afraid to die to learn to kill. Sometimes I like dying and it turns me on. And I can do whatever I want with this body because I have another clone waiting for me. Maybe we can get together for a little of the ultra violence. Just shoot me before you put me away wet. I dry better when I am frozen.
So let me know, I am willing to do a whole lot of stuff, just don't count on me to be proficient at a lot of stuff right now. But I can fire missles fast.
Do you have a bar? I like an earthbound liquor called Jaegermeister if anyone knows how to distill that stuff. Other than that I can usually be made happy with a little DROP now and then and Violet has me hooked on wine, but that's ok, I like that too.
Do you like my EYE? I can take it out if I need too, but I like my eye.

Seriously, if someone places a bounty on you and u die they are informed that you died. With a suicide, (such as jettisoning yourself out of your capsule),this way they don't know it. Just thot it would be good to clarify the meaning of this.

So I have been witholding isk from Elanore...

Yeah, so, I used to have a good amt of isk, but it would seem Elanore, who I have been feeding it too for a while doesn't seem to be very good with isk. All that time I thought it was going into skill training, ships, etc. etc. Can you say PARTY?! Yeah, So since my own isk savings have been shall we say, a bit depleted recently due to this I've not been funding her as much these days. She'll have to find her own income for a while. I mean, I meant like hey, do some mining, run some missions, hell, haul some crap around for people. there's plenty of opportunity. well, like they say, "you can lead a horse to water..."

I'm not really very happy about this whole stripping thing. I mean Reeeeally? Well, I'm not going to say anything. I really hope she figures out a bit of responsibility before it's too late. At least it's in Hi sec, but it's still a seedy station. The place is just called "Girls". Next door is a casino and then there's a bar called "The PIT", yeah, that's respectable.

There are a lot of dangerous creeps in New Eden. I just cannot afford it anymore. So far she's managed to keep hold of her Navy Caracal, and I will continue to allow her to crash at my place. It can get a bit lonely here.
I'm just keeping my hopes up things don't go bad.

What should I do? I am really worried here.

After which it will probably be scooped up by a yet unnamed or unknown pilot to be used in whatever fashion he or she deems fit.
if, after this event you wish to retrieve your body you may contact myself or Violet Aeon where a deal may or may not be worked out for said frozen corpse. I have submitted it a few times over the last few years but I have never even heard from them what it is that makes it undesirable to them. (paste sad face here )

So this time before I submitted I did a little further reading.

Rundown:
1-Sites must be complete and fully operational: CHECK,
well, it's never actually "complete because it also conforms to the 2nd guideline below.
"The site must be updated regularly and remain active." <--then no site would ever be complete now would it ;)

2-There must be a recognizable connection to EVE Online: CHECK

3-Companion sites for alternative venues: NA
This is neither a Radio stations or chat venue

4-Prohibited content: CHECK
Probably have plenty of that.......oh......whoops.

Submissions for sites that include offensive or adult content...

Offensive or Adult, hmmm. I don't think it's offensive, I don't know, there are Zealots out there who find everything BUT themselves offensive so that's definitely relative.
As for adult? I'm not reeeeally sure but I think some of what comes up in the regular chat channels ,within EVE mind you, is far "worse",(again, relative :), and is not rated by the NSRB<--whoever they are who sit in their white zealot lab coats, low worn bifocals, and weird crazy scientist hair, to decide these things to protect us from ourselves.

So, this Site might contain a spattering of some things, I guess, maybe.

How to send an Eve online bookmarked location to someone :)

This will NOT become a "how to" blog I can assure u that! But here's a useful one I just figured out and need to post it before the methodology leaves my brain due to shiny distraction :)

1-bookmark a place or item in space
2-go to station
3-open "people and places"
drag the bookmarked location to your Item Hangar
4-rt click on it aft it's in your item hangar and create contract to someone

5-they accept the contract
6-they set destination to PU the item (location/voucher) it's called.
7-they drag the item from their Item Hangar into their own people and places
8-They set destination to the location
9-They undock, rt click in space and warp to zero :)

In this test case Elanore had jettisoned a container with metal scrapes in it. I accepted the contract and went out to pick them up :)

hope this helps. I have used it a couple times for interaction between 2 chars on the same account. In this case Elanore and Me. :)

Expensive but fits well

I like this top. It was pretty expensive but it compliments well and so I bought it. Wish I could more customize the wardrobe a bit tho. Sometimes at the Jita clubs we run into others with the same stuff on. It's a bit awkward. There needs to be a bit more diversity. But still, I wear it well baby ! (Feigned conceit :)

Hey Thanks to Achilles Equinox for the heads up on this mining site! Lots of Omber and really cool stuff to check out. And lest I say REAL close to home too. WHile I type this I'm pulling in the drones and heading to the trade hub for some Omber mining crystals. There's enough to justify that and no need on burning my Kernite ones up on it.

Been snapping some pics and left the info pulled up for a couple of the items in space there in the belt/deposit. Check it out.(As always you can click on the pics for an enlarged image).


One of the more interesting things is some sort of spatial rift that seems to have opened up right inside this old mining station. Yeah, that had to make for a bad day and prooobably made for a rather quick ending of the operation. But I'm just guessing ;)

My Retriever got a new paint job!

Well I've been meaning to get my Retriever a new paint job for a long time. And with a name like "Boat of Strippers" it had to be Cathouse pink ;).
Just FYI, if you're looking for a good bodyshop for this kind of thing there's a really awesome little shop in Dodixie. Good guys and they give a pretty nice warranty too. Found someone to do some signage graphics so I scheduled to have the name put on the side too. They said they'll message me when I can bring it in. Ya!

Subversive plotting for a creepers corpse. A real time chat log storyline

So this all started when Elanore ran into a corp member,(Sumela Allas-Rui), on chat. After some convo about general EVE related stuff she said she was being "hit on" in a sort of creepy fashion by another player. After we exchanged a few in chat convos she showed me an email he had sent her. then another. We pretty much determined he was creepy and the timing couldn't have been better when this guy "Bowmop Dragonbane" was killed right outside station where Sumela seized the opportunity and scooped up his corpse. we started plotting to extort some isk from the guy for the return of his frozen corpse to him. We decided that she should message him and see if he'd be interested in buying his own body back. It started with Elanore and Sumela and then I logged myself on and thus began "operation creeper corpse" Sumela and the Bowmop guy were in the same system. Elanore and Sumela were on corp chat. As later was I too. He could not see our convos together.
